There is another contest on thegamecrafter.com. Competitors are asked to create a game that can be played during a lunch hour. All entries must be in by December 12,2022. I created a new game for the contest this past weekend.
My newest game is called 9-Patch Match. It is a quilt themed card game. Players each have 9 cards with which they can create a quilt block. They do this by placing their cards in a 3 x 3 grid and following one of 8 patterns provided. They draw and discard until someone completes their 9-Patch Match.
There are a few surprises, such as fabric scrap cards that are good for nothing except discarding and just rotating a half square triangle can change the pattern of the block. It's a puzzle and cards in the same game.
The most difficult thing for me was creating the 9-Patch Match examples. I have ordered my copy. This is required before I can publish the game. I am anxious to see how these Example cards turned out. I am also excited to play test my game.
