I am working on my display for the Maker Fair. The event is next Sunday afternoon, September 15, from 1:00 to 5:00. The sponsors are furnishing the table and I am responsible for the rest.
My plan is to use the tent that my husband uses at the local Farmers Market. I will cover the table with a black table cloth and put this display (see picture) on top of the table.
Then I will open one of these boxes and remove the quilt and book. This set will be used as the example for customers as I explain how the Whereabouts Quilts and Books work. Also on the table will be a picture frame with a sign stating the price, my contact information, and a description of the product. My business cards and some custom order forms will also be on the table.
I have also made a strip of pennants to hang from the tent. Each pennant has one of the letters from WHEREABOUTS ironed on it. . My plan is to take a couple of lawn chairs, wear my t-shirt that says to ask me about Whereabouts Quilts & Books, and enjoy hanging out with other makers and potential customers. I will let you know how it goes!
